What lead you to become a Nail Tech?

At a young age, nail enhancements became the answer to my nail biting problem! It didn’t take long for me to gain an interest in the art of gel nails and start dabbling with product myself. What was once just a hobby, is now my full time career!

If you could do any other career, what would you do?

Veterinary Technician

What do you enjoy most about being a Educator for Fuzion?

I love sharing my knowledge with others, especially about a product line I truly love. And the family like support system our team has to offer is amazing.

What better combination than doing what you love, surrounded by like minded people!

What is your idea work environment?

I love working from the comfort of my in-home studio, for both regular nail services and teaching as well! I enjoy a one on one teaching environment, but am most definitely willing to work in a large group setting when teaching advanced or art classes so everyone gets to enjoy the fun!

What’s your philosophy towards your work?

Nothing in life is free, so why not work doing something you love? While I do dedicate countless hours to my small business, I do so without regret. The end result to me, is so unbelievably worth it! From sending a happy client out the door, or a promising student who just obtained or advanced there new skills - the reward pays off each time.

Proudest career moment?

Establishing myself as a full time successful Nail Technician and than later becoming a Nail Educator.

A sentence or quote that describes you?

When life gets you down, you know what you’ve gotta do?Just keep swimming!

What does being a role model mean to you?

Being a role model to me isn’t just about obtaining a master status and being the person everyone looks up to for something. In this forever changing industry - you’ll never learn everything! It’s near impossible to keep up. I pride myself in ensuring everyone understands, failure is a part of growing. Continuous education is power. And believing in yourself and your own dreams is more important than what anyone else thinks. A wholesome support system goes a long way, and that’s one thing my students can always count on me for.

What advice would you give to your 10yr old self?

Keep dreaming big, and know that nothing is impossible.
