What lead you to become a Nail Tech?
I knew in middle school that i wanted to become a Nail Tech. Almost every night after school I would change my nail polish color. A few years after high school I enrolled in the Esthetics program and dont regret a single second of it!
If you could do any other career, what you you do?
I would absolutely be a Homicide Detective, a RCMP officer or a Real Housewife of Orange County….you know, nothing too different from a Esthetician 😉
What do you enjoy most about being an Educator for Fuzion?
Being able to teach my passion and share my knowledge with aspiring Nail Techs. It’s the greatest experience!
Who inspires you and why?
Besides our amazing Girl Boss Cheryl who is SO full of inspiration and Megan Walker who I swear always has the answers for EVERYTHING….it would have to be my mother, April. It doesn’t matter how bad something is, she always keeps her cool and keeps on keeping on…..if that isn’t someone to be inspired by then I don’t know who is.
What is your ideal work environment?
I love working from home to be with my 4 children more…but I honestly LOVE working alongside of other industry people. It’s always nice having others to learn from, inspire, build life long friendships with and to just be in a wonderful salon setting.
What’s your philosophy towards your work?
Do what you love, love what you do!
Proudest career moment?
Being asked to become a Fuzion Educator for sure! And also having my work published in a nail magazine.

“I can do anything with a little profanity and sarcasm”.
What does being a role model mean to you?
To me it means working hard and giving it your all…the one thing I hope my children take from me is good work ethic!
What advice would you give to your 10year old self?
I would have to say work harder in school, and rebel a bit more lol

It’s not hidden but I quilt…I’m not even sure it’s a talent?…just something I do and love.

Playing in my nail room with an ice cold pop watching the Investigation Discovery Channel!

I would have to say learn to ride a motorcycle…I’ve always wanted to learn but I keep getting pregnant lol!!!
