An Intro Message From Cheryl, Founder of Fuzion

Hi, my name is Cheryl McLaughlin and I'm the owner and founder of Fuzion Gel and the Fuzion Academy. Is a career in nails right for you?  This is definitely a question that I have been asked many times by many prospective students and a question that I also asked myself over 25 years ago when I first took my very first nail course.

So in this course, we're going to try to help you answer that question. We're going to talk a little bit about where you can work, what opportunities there are for you, how much money you can make, and how Fuzion can help you achieve your goals. 

So even if you just want to learn more about the health and safety of natural nails, working with gel polish and doing your own nails, or you want to take one of our programs and study to become a professional certified nail technician, Fuzion and the Fuzion Academy is here to help, and we can help you succeed.

Education FAQs

01. How many hours does it take to complete a Fuzion Pathway Course?

The Fuzion Pathway Courses are student-led, meaning you can work through the course material at a pace that fits your schedule. There is no set number of hours required to complete the coursework.  Once you have completed all required assignments, you will have a set timeframe to complete your assessments.

02. How long does the Online Fuzion Master Class take to complete?

The Fuzion Master Class is student-led, allowing you to work through the course material at your own pace and around your schedule. Once all required assignments are complete, you will have 90 days to complete your assessments.

03. Do I have access to support during the Pathway Courses or the Fuzion Master Class?

Yes! Each course includes access to a dedicated Mentor who is available to provide guidance and support while you work through your training. Students enrolled in Pathways 1–5 receive 30 days of Mentor support, while Fuzion Master Class students receive 12 months of Mentor support while working through the course.

04. Do I have to complete all of the Pathway Courses or the Fuzion Master Class?

No! You can choose the course or courses that best suit your training goals. You can complete an individual Pathway and become certified in the corresponding Fuzion system upon successful completion. 
The Fuzion Master Class is an all-inclusive program that encompasses all of the core Fuzion systems and additional training.

05. How does the payment plan work?

Sezzle is available as a payment option at checkout. If you are approved by Sezzle, your purchase can be divided into three equal payments, subject to Sezzle’s terms and approval.

06. If I choose Sezzle, can I start the course right away, or do I need to wait until all payments are complete?

You can begin your course as soon as your Sezzle application has been approved and your checkout has been successfully completed. Your payment plan is arranged directly through Sezzle and is independent of Fuzion Gel Ltd.

07. Do I receive a certificate, and can I use it anywhere?

Yes! Upon successful completion of a Pathway Course, you will receive a certificate for the Fuzion system covered in that course. The Fuzion Master Class includes certification across the core Fuzion systems covered within the program.
Certificates may be accepted by recognized beauty wholesalers; however, acceptance requirements can vary by location. It is the student’s responsibility to confirm that the course curriculum and certification meet the requirements of their local licensing, regulatory, or governing bodies.

08. Are these courses offered in person?

Not yet! In-person training opportunities are planned for late fall 2026. More information will be announced as dates and locations become available. You can see the Fuzion Mentor Directory to check if there is a mentor near you.
09. What is the best device to use for my training?
The Fuzion Academy Learning platform can be accessed on most devices, including tablets, laptops, and desktop computers. However, we recommend using a laptop or desktop computer for the best experience when viewing the website, course materials, and training videos.
