What lead you to become a Nail Tech?
While taking a makeup artist class I saw some girls taking their nail course at the same time and thought that looks awesome but I want to do one on one, and then one day I came across Nail Techniques and that was over 13 years ago.
If you could do any other career, what would you do?
Probably a dental hygienist it’s pretty similar to doing nails…
What do you enjoy most about being a Educator for Fuzion?
Watching new students who have had their nails done in the past and think it’s easy, have the realization that there’s more to doing nails then they thought. Watching them conquer hurdles and gain confidence as they are learning is amazing to watch. Knowing I’ve given them the tools to build a successful career is very rewarding!
Who inspires you and why?
My fellow educators for sure. We all have such different styles and I love watching their work on social media. I’m always in awe, and love that I can ask them for any help or trouble shooting.
What is your ideal work environment?
I love teaching but I also have my own space. I’m a bit of a loaner so I like a one on one style. Mellow and drama free.
Proudest career moment?
Any time one of my students has that light bulb moment and from that point on, its smooth sailing.
What does being a role model mean to you?
It means putting out my best work every time. Showing that hard work and dedication always pays off.
What advice would you give your 10 year old self?
Not to give power to people who don’t deserve it. Don’t worry so much what other people think.
Favourite Beauty Product?
Any Red Lipstick!
No if I am good at something I make sure I tell people about it!
